Rabbit IRM Another eerie, ethereal gem of hazy ambient from Julien Demoulin, dreamlike and aerial but with a darker and more abrasive side on some tracks (Memories From The Old House). Favorite track: The Period Of The Long Change.

finishyourmeal Like a time-lapse of emotional landscapes, Inner Lives supplies evolving perspective and focus to a worried mind. A wonderful addition to my own. Favorite track: A Sea In You.

about

Inner Lives is an album about mental health. About the wide open skies as well as the abyss that lurks within, and about the many, sometimes dramatic changes one goes through in the span of one’s lifetime; they’re often both beautiful and scary, and they require courage, tolerance, and most of all, time.

Some say ambient music is about escapism, implying avoidance; I’ve meant this album to be about quietly confronting what terrifies us and which stands in the way of what one could call redemption.
